Great article. You are definitely not alone. I'm also a longtime musician who's started using Suno in a very similar way—beginning with my own musical ideas on guitar or piano, then working iteratively with it on arrangement, lyrics, sound, etc. until I get where I'm trying to go. Even after it comes out of Suno, I will often do additional editing/eq/effects/mixing/mastering. I've actually started posting some of my original sketches alongside the finished recordings so people can hear where the songs began.
